Trusts and Estates and Probate Litigation Attorney – Must Like Dogs and Grammar

T FRANK LAW, PLLC is a Charlestown, Massachusetts estate planning, administration, and litigation law firm. We are a community-oriented law office, currently comprised of one attorney, and are expanding to meet our clients’ needs.

Our firm is seeking a trust and estate administration/litigation associate to become an integral member of our team. Access to reliable personal automobile necessary for travel to courts.

About Us: T FRANK LAW, PLLC designs estate plans for moderate to high net worth individuals, couples, and families. We help administer estates and maintain a robust probate litigation practice. We also advise and establish closely-held business entities and assist with business succession planning for our clients. Our firm takes pride in being accessible while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.

About You: Ideally, a morning person. A motivated self-starter with strong organization and interpersonal skills, you easily develop rapport with people. Others describe you as loyal and empathetic. You are comfortable working in an office, appearing in court, and networking within professional and social circles. An excellent writer, you possess strong attention to detail and have a passion for grammar and clerical accuracy. You are interested in helping to develop business for the firm. Job duties include:

  • Handling case management from inception of file to close of matter for all firm estate administration and probate matters;

  • Assisting with document generation and review;

  • Drafting motions and performing discovery and trial preparation for probate matters and mental health litigation matters;

  • Managing probate projects and assisting with client inquiries and other projects as required or requested;

  • Responsibly using case management software and Microsoft office 365 products;

  • Coordinating referrals to other attorneys and professionals;

  • Managing a process for documenting follow-ups and closing files;

  • Responding to client inquiries via phone and e-mail;

  • Managing the entire client process, including follow-up with new and existing clients;

  • Communicating, via phone and e-mail, with clients and their trusted advisors by using excellent grammar;

  • Working within deadlines and completing tasks before being told to do so;

  • Willingness to attend weekly (7:00 am) professional networking group paid for by the firm;

  • Willingness to become certified by the Committee for Public Counsel Services Mental Health Litigation Division.

Requirements:

This position is only open to licensed attorneys. Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent listening skills and ability to simplify complex concepts to clients; extreme attention to detail; ability to work on short-term and long-term projects simultaneously; work on multiple projects in a friendly but focused, fast paced environment.

Compensation based on experience and hours. We are seeking candidates with 0 – 2 years of experience practicing law in Massachusetts. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work full-time but would be willing to consider a part-time position between 25-30 hours a week. All candidates MUST BE Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Must have or are willing to become a Notary Public in Massachusetts.
